One of the most important elements of 7th grade Language Arts is Writing. Therefore, you will have a weekly journal homework assignment.

For the first quarter, your journals will be worth 75 points a week towards your grade. They are due by Friday at 4:00 pm, although Miss Peloso will be happy to take them earlier. If your journal is late, you will lose 10 points from your score.
All you have to do is to read the prompt and then write (or type) a paragraph or two about that topic. Count your words and write the word-count at the bottom of the page. First quarter journals must contain at least 75 words apiece. Then, you bring your journal entry to class and put it in the homework folder. You can earn extra credit points by using your vocabulary words in your journal. Two points per word.
